As Business Development Manager, you will manage a selected panel of brokers across North London representing our proposition and focusing on improving the quality and quantity of application submissions via our intermediary partners.
You will work closely with your customers to develop mutually beneficial business relationships. You will be assessed on number and quality of appointments via feedback and observations.
You will be expected to ensure you really get the best value out of these relationships for all parties, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks, working in a consultative and collaborative way.
To be a success in this role, you will have previous financial services products business development or account management experience, however this does not need to be in a field based capacity. A detailed understanding of our mortgage products would be extremely desirable and it is essential that you have excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence. You will be a self-starter able to work autonomously with minimal day to day direct supervision. You will be motivated with the ability to manage your time and diary efficiently. You will be customer focused working in a consultative way to build long term business relationships and trust that will enable our business to grow whilst maintaining reputation and integrity.
A full clean driving license is a requirement for the job as is a flexible approach to working hours. In the role you will also be required to pass the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice within an agreed timescale if you do not already have this qualification.

Building relationships with intermediaries (mortgage brokers, mortgage advisors and financial advisors) is how we grow our business and there’s plenty of variety in what we do - from answering questions about lending policy to spreading the word about the Coventry by meeting intermediaries in their place of work, which could be anywhere in mainland U.K.
