Intermediary Telephony Sales Manager Edinburgh

The Client

Our client is a UK mutual life and pensions company with group funds under management of almost 50 billion. They offer a range of pensions, protection and investment products, distributed principally through intermediaries. They are now seeking to hire a sales Manager to manage a team of telephone account managers promoting protection life products to the  intermediary financial adviser sector

The Role

To develop and motivate an effective team of telephone account managers that will deliver agreed new business targets from Intermediaries in a manner that satisfies all regulatory and compliance responsibilities and meets Corporate objectives.

•             Deliver Branch sales targets

•             Create, manage and review an annual branch plan designed to deliver agreed objectives through the sales team

•             Manage, support and follow-up to central Sales Campaigns and National      Partnership events.

•             Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key Intermediaries

•             Manage and support follow-up of locally organised workshops and seminars in  line with agreed objectives

•             Develop and promote new business sales ideas through sales meetings

•             Manage all aspects of the Sales Process to agreed standards

•             Manage vacant panel requirements when needed

•             Work with consultant team to engage, align and work with appropriate colleagues and resources to maximise profitable new business production and to protect existing business

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience  required

•             Good leadership abilities and experience

•             Sound understanding and demonstration of coaching skills

•             Relevant supervisory experience

•             Cert PFS (or agreed relevant industry equivalent)

•             Obtained RO1 and RO5, or be working towards them within agreed timescales

•             Proven track record in sales / financial advice

•             Excellent planning and self-management capability

•             Demonstrates high levels of commitment and drive

•             Full driving license

Technical Skills

•             Microsoft Office suite literate

Confident in understanding of technology used by advisers including research and analysis systems, platforms etc.

•             Advanced ability to discuss and debate industry issues, technical and legislative updates in a competent and influential manner
